See the World
We want you to see the world -- and we want the world to see you.
Whether it’s an entire semester studying in China’s capital city of Beijing, or two weeks in the tropical rain forests of Costa Rica; at Farmington, the world can be your classroom.
Experience Different Cultures
Farmington offers the opportunity to participate in exciting semester-long study-abroad opportunities to more than 50 countries, including: Ireland, Australia, Brazil, Germany, Italy, Jamaica, India, Mexico, Japan, Sweden, Austria, South Africa, China, Venezuela, France, Spain, Greece, Russia, and Switzerland.
And if an entire semester is a bit too long, our professors frequently arrange short term travel courses to places like Italy, Scotland, Costa Rica, St. John-U.S. Virgin Islands, England, Newfoundland, and more.
See More of America
If experiencing a different part of the U.S. is more to your liking, we can arrange for you to study away for a semester or academic year through the National Student Exchange program. More than 175 different institutions in 49 states, D.C., three U.S. territories, and four Canadian provinces participate in this program.
Where have UMF students recently studied? California, Alaska, Colorado, Illinois, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Montana, New Mexico, Minnesota and West Virginia, to name a few.
Whether you want to experience other cultures first hand, see your own country from a different perspective, test your language skills, or trace your personal history, you’ll return to Farmington with a new understanding of your world and yourself.
